The Great family Pool Jump - Off the Rails January challenge

How could I go past this gorgeous summer mood board from Off the Rails Scrapbooking?  I have so many holiday photos waiting to be scrapped that it would have been a crime not to do this challenge.
The photo of the people jumping into the air together reminded me at once of a family tradition that we have developed over the years. Sometime during our annual vacation together all the kids will line up along the pool side, hold hands and leap into the water together. It makes for a great photo!

I used a background sheet of paper from Crate Paper's DIY collection which I inked and stamped to give a water colour effect. I am loving this new chevron background stamp that I recently acquired - just what I needed - more chevrons!!!

I used lots of ephemera from various maufacturers around my photo - which I printed large (8" x 5.5") as I think that it really needed to be a decent size to show the details in the photo (like the expressions on the boys faces and the way that Benji actually didn't jump upwards at all - rather he just got dragged off the poolside and straight into the pool ).
awesome and make for very eye catching titles!

Now for a page that my little 10 year old daughter Sophie-Kate made. She was watching me do my page using the Off the Rails mood board above and she asked if she could have a go too. Here is the page that she designed all by herself! I thought that her use of my stamps is really cool! She loved the colours on the board and also the summer theme. This year Sophie's adult brother and his girlfriend bought a puppy for Christmas and I think that Loulou has been the highlight of Sophie's summer - hence the page about the new doggie!

Thanks for visiting my blog today - hope you are having a great weekend and enjoying the glorious summer weather if you are here in New Zealand!
