The Good Life - Scrap Around the World August challenge

Here is the August mood board from Scrap Around the World. I was inspired by the beach theme, the colours and the footprints in the sand. It is a really fun board and I have a stack of holiday photos to scrap. I chose this photo of my girls on Brighton Beach. They had never experienced anything like a typical English seasode town before and they were smitten by the sights, smells and new experiences!

I used a scallop mask to apply texture paste to my background paper. It reminded me of the waves but my daughter Natalie said that it reminded her of fish scales. Either way it was a great match for the theme of my page.

The papers and embellishments that I used were mainly from Kaiserkraft's 'Sandy toes' collection. I found the chippie lighthouse in my stash from my days on the 2Crafty design team. I painted it and stamped on the brick design. Here ar some close-ups:

Thanks for visiting my blog today and looking at my page :)

That Sandy Toes collection is really nice! And I love the fish scales - I think nat's right on that one! The muted tones look brill. I had good intentions to do this one at Scrap Camp....but it just didn't happen. Couldn't quite manage all the challenges I saw around this month!!!!
