Mellow moments

I have been thinking a lot about organising my scrap mess recently and I finally went down to Warehouse Ststionary and bought a storage unit. I realised that I have WAAAAY too much stash - especially patterned paper so I have decided that I will use at least one item of old stash in each of my projects in an attempt to use up some of the excess. I know, not buying more might be a better way to go, but honestly there is no point making resolutions that I know I won't be able to keep is there?
Here are a few of my recent LO's. I decided that I had been making a disproportionate number of baby LOs recently so i decided that I would do some of my older kids this week. I Love the ultra girlie look of my Sweetheart LO. Sophie was dressed up as Snow White for her school book week and was more than happy to pose for these cute photos. The LO of my 19yo son lying on the couch after uni was built around the gorgeous brown string that I found at a local junk shop
I stamped the circles using a brown ink pad and a felt tip pen top.
The photo of my son Adam playing the guitar outside has been waiting to be scrapped for a while. i was thinking of going along the lines of a rock-star look but when i saw these Websters Pages papers i thought that the mellow, country look would suit the photos mood better. I absolutely love the result - and most importantly so does Adam.
Finally i just couldn't resist scrapping these cute shots of Benji playing T-ball. He is wearing his sisters rash top so i was tryiing to play down the 'pink' and blend it in a little at the same time. I think that these Basic Grey papers and die-cuts do the job perfectly.
Thanks for looking.
Now for my BIG news. I have been asked to join the design team for a new store Scotty Crafts opening in Albany, on Auckland's North Shore on Saturday 8th May. I am very excited to have been given this opportunity and look forward to the challenges that it brings. If you are in the area do come in a check us out. Otherwise check out the blog at
