Favourite memories

This weeks challenge at CSI is really cool - the colours are amongst my favourite to work with and who can resist a 'travel' theme. I know I have a ton of travel photo to scrap!
This photo is one of my favourites that I took of my 3 older boys together in San Francisco last year.
They had just enjoyed an afternoon shopping in Union Square and were about to get on a bus to explore the Golden Gate Bridge. The colours suited my photo well - but I just couldn't resist adding that one red heart to tie in the red in all the boys shirts.
I made my background by spraying a sunburst design on white cardstock with aqua ink then overlaying a cloud patterned sheet of vellum. I machine stitched it in place then randomly splattered some pink and white ink over the whole. My patterned papers and that cool title card are from Studio Calico.

The chipboard filmstrip, casino chip and title word 'favourite' are all from 2Crafty (who are sponsoring CSI this month as you probably already know). I painted the title and filmstrip with black distress paint and left the casino chip raw so that the detail could still easily be seen.
.

The cute little row of houses are a 'Prima' product and I painted them pastel colours which reminded me of the colourful houses in San Francisco. I love that little flair button which just had to find a home on this page!

Now it's time for you to go over to the CSI blog and see the other DT pages - there is some serious eye candy there this week (and every week!). Hope you are inspired to have a go at this one yourself!!
