8th = Happy Girl - CSI - 128

 This weeks challenge at CSI is live. Here is my take on it for the DT. I am not usually a fan of purple but when I do scrap with it I always like the result. Here the purple is great to balance out all the green in my photo.
Sophie is a great long-distance runner. In the school trials she had a bad cold and so didn't run her best. She came 7th and just missed out in a place at the interschool competition. Luckily for her the girls who came 4th couldn't make the interschool date and Sophie got her place by default. Well she didn't let that phase her on the day and she ran a great race coming 8th and qualifying for the superschool cluster (the regional finals). Her smile says it all!
I used 2 shades of purple spray ink to make the background water colour effect. From the evidence list I used numbers, rosettes, distressing and punches. I used the inspiration word 'walk' as the basis for my journaling. Here are a few close-ups:

Do check out this challenge for yourself. Have a great weekend :) My eldest daughter is off to the year 13 ball (prom) tonight so lots of lovely photos to be had there!!!

Ooooh! Can't wait to see Nat's photos either!!! And good one Sophie....she looks really happy in this one & I'm with you...green & purple actually make a great color combo....I am thinking that's Dylusions on the bg???? It's such a gloriously 'strong' colour...& if you gotta use purple, well you might as well go all the way, I reckon!!!!

Oh I struggle with purple but you've nailed it here! Thanks for your comments re my daughter's gym layout - those pics were taken at our local YMCA gym, different country but same place that your boys teach!
