16 Years Apart

Once Upon a Sketch is another of my favourite challenge blogs. This month the challenge is to use a number as the focus for your page - and, of course, base your page on the sketch above.

When I saw these photos of my sons Jaime (21) and Benji (5) I knew at once that I wanted to use their age gap as the focus of my page. They really do love to do things together despite the years that separate them. They have similar interests in that they both love 'boy things' - especially lego, video games and superheros. In the photo Jaime is helping Benji to make up a new lego set and then they are shooting marbles out of the finished machine. The delight on both their faces makes me smile.
The Crate Paper 'Boys Rule' paper collection was perfect for this page. I stamped and inked my background paper (look PP background and not white cardstock!) then I layered various papers and die-cuts to make an interesting mat for my two cute photos. The number '16' is an October Afternoon product which I hung from the bakers twine, and I completed my title with mini-alphas and various October Afternoon tags.

Have a great week and do have a look at this challenge over at the Once Upon a Sketch blog here!
