This month Sketchabilities have joined up with White with One for their January challenge. So you get to play with this gorgeous sketch using only white and blue (a little blak is also allowed for accenting.
Here is my take. I love this photo of myself and my younger kiddies taken soon after we arrived in Omapere - the far north of New Zealand where we always take an annual family holiday. The beach and hotel are both stunningly beautiful and we all look forward to our week together in paradise all year round.
The paper collections that I used for this page were a combination of Kaisercrafts 'Off the Wall' and 'Sandy Toes' - also from Kaisercraft. The blues were perfect for the WW1 challenge and the embellishments in the co-ordinating 'miscellany' bags were great for a beach/holiday theme.
I had a blast inking, stamping and stencilling my background paper. I think this is my favourite part of making layouts :) I hand-drew the circle elements with my 'Inktense' water colour pencils and liberally applied water over the pencil lines allowing them to dribble and drip down the page.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to visit my blog. Hope that your new year is off to a great start!
