Smitten - Kraft Plus June Challenge

Here is my take on the June Kraft + challenge - It is a bit of a tricky one in that one of the criteria is 'animal print' which I have absolutely none of in my stash. I really liked the rest of the challenge though so I thought outside the square and raided my little son's origami box. I found the perfect piece of zebra striped paper in a book about paper plane making. The hardest part was trying to hide what I had done from Benji - who is very protective of his origami papers!!!
Anyway I chose the only 'wild' (ish) photo that I could find in my recent stash. benji is cuddling a big stone lion statue on the Champs Elysee in Paris.
I used white acrylic paint watered down in a spray bottle to splatter across my background cardstock. I kept to a black and white colour palate because I wanted my photo to remain the focus of the page
and the pattern in the paper was already very busy.

The funky chippie circle element was left over from my time on the 2Crafty DT. I used gold paster to colour it and inked the edges a little to give it an 'antiqued' look.

Have a great weekend - we will have a quiet one this week as we have a sick little boy (poor Benji has croup and is a bit miserable this morning).
